Airspace's 2020 Year in Review

In 2019, no one could have predicted the challenges that 2020 would bring to the world. It was a difficult year for many, if not all of us. Despite the hardships of 2020, Airspace was able to deliver some good to the world - through resilience, creativity, and teamwork.

Thanks to our customers, our partners and our team members, we were able to accomplish so much. Read on for our 2020 highlights and for the full year in review, download our inforgraphic or view it below!

In 2020, Airspace shipped over 200,000 packages; 83,807 of these packages contained organs. Life-saving shipments cannot stop just because of a pandemic. In fact, healthcare shipments increased as the year progressed, and Airspace was able to deliver.

We knew we had to do everything in our power to help as soon as the pandemic began. This started with transporting face masks made by Hedley & Bennett, a customer that converted their factories from making luxury aprons. Then Airspace began supporting diagnostics companies on the cutting edge of COVID-19 antibody research by delivering Coronavirus testing kits to state testing sites. These kits require rapid delivery and extreme visibility, so it was a no-brainer that Airspace was the preferred logistics provider for the job. When the distribution of vaccines need time-critical transportation, Airspace will be at the ready, continuing the fight against COVID-19.

Airspace is particularly proud of the Commanders (contracted drivers), who support each shipment. In 2020, Airspace Commanders drove over 100 million miles, which is 10 million miles more than it takes to get to the sun from Earth! This was no easy feat, but with dedicated Commanders across the world, Airspace was able to accomplish this.

In addition, and with the help of, our international expansion, Airspace onboarded over 800 Commanders in 2020! With every new Commander, more shipments can be delivered quickly, and with the most transparent shipping experience in the industry.

All in all, 2020 was challenging but also rewarding. Thank you again to our customers, partners, and Airspace Commanders who supported our efforts to help during this pandemic. You are appreciated more than you know!
