Over the next 20 years, Airbus and Boeing, predict the Aerospace industry to grow by 4-4.9% annually. Projections of the global fleet of passenger and cargo aircraft demonstrate growth from just over 23,000 to over 48,000 units by the end of 2037. This growth will be supplemented by an addition of up to 42,000 new aircraft to replace older models and increase the global fleet of passenger and cargo aircraft. With the anticipation of new builds, the aerospace industry is evaluated to increase to a $7.9 trillion market while providing businesses with an opportunity to transport their goods faster, safer and at a lower cost than previously possible.
By 2036 the Aerospace industry is projected to grow between $7.1 to $7.9 Trillion. An estimated $6.1 Trillion (77%) is slated towards manufacturing new aircraft orders, and $1.8 Trillion (23%) is forecasted for Maintenance, Repair, or Overhaul (MRO) activities.
Almost every business today has shipping needs whether it be buying products or selling products, and knowing where your packages are has traditionally been provided through lagging milestone updates. Traditionally, lagging milestone updates are when couriers only update the shipper after a package has reached a certain point. This means that you only get notified after packages pass certain checkpoints, or milestones, in the delivery process.
We all know how frustrating airports and air transportation can be especially when there are delays involved. It is enough of a hassle to get through the airport and onto your airplane, but no one wants to see their airplane be delayed or grounded once they are on it. On average, it costs $150,000 every hour an airplane is grounded. This makes it imperative for airlines to get the parts needed for repairs as soon as humanly possible.
